CARE Ratings undertakes credit rating of all types of debt instruments. These include all medium and long-term debt securities such as debentures, bonds (including convertible bonds) and fixed deposits, as well as short-term debt and deposit obligations like commercial paper, inter-corporate deposits and certificates of deposit. This apart, CARE Ratings rates all types of fund based and non-fund based bank facilities. This would include cash credit, working capital demand loans, letter of credit, bank guarantees, bill discounting, project loans, loans for general corporate purposes etc.

CARE Ratings rates debt instruments/ bank facilities issued by manufacturing companies, banks, non-banking finance companies, housing finance companies, financial institutions, insurance companies, companies belonging to the infrastructure sector, public sector undertakings and municipalities, among others. CARE Ratings also rates structured obligations, REITs, InvITs, Resolution Plans under RBI’s framework for resolution of stressed assets, and Security Receipts issued by Asset Reconstruction Companies.
